The Pennington County Sheriff’s Office has found CodeRED to be a very valuable tool for public safety through notification of emergency events and severe weather events.

As part of regular maintenance of this system, we plan a county-wide test this March 1st at 10:00 in the morning. When you receive a test call, you can listen to a short message that includes information that our CodeRED system has been upgraded and also a request for you to encourage friends and family to sign-up for CodeRED at penningtonsheriff.org.
Current CodeRED participants who receive this test call need take no further action than listen to the call and consider others who may benefit from the service. The screen on your phone will have text that states “CodeRED.”
Again, this test call will occur on March 1st at 10:00 o'clock in the morning. It will only be a test of the system and it is NOT an emergency.
