Pennington County is looking for motivated individuals to serve as a Sentence to Serve Crew Leader. This full-time position is responsible for planning, orienting, and supervising the activities of offenders performing community projects. Applicants must have a valid driver’s license, good communication skills, and supervisory experience. Basic carpentry and wood cutting skills are desirable.

FULL-TIME DEPUTY SHERIFF

The Pennington County Sheriff’s Office is looking for individuals who want to serve the public as a law enforcement officer.    Candidates must be self-motivated and must be able to work independently as well as in cooperation with coworkers and other agencies.  Applicants must be Minnesota Post License eligible by the time of hire. 

Duties of the Deputy Sheriff include patrolling portions of the County; enforcing laws and regulations and issuing traffic citations; serving civil process papers; responding to civil or criminal complaints, disturbances or emergency assistance; conducting investigations into child abuse and neglect; locating and executing arrest/search warrants; assisting in the transport of inmates to appointments or court and providing court security, as needed.
