Records Division

The Pennington County Records Division provides public services as well as agency support duties which include: processing of record releases for the public such as incident reports and motor vehicle accident reports, media releases, maintenance and storage of agency reports/records, and ensure all records are processed accordingly to agency, state, and federal reporting requirements.
 
The Records Department is open to the public between 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Photo identification will be requested for copies of reports. We recommend you call prior to coming in for any release of records. Cases currently under investigation can not be released. Records releases are made within a reasonable amount of time to authorized individuals in accordance with the law.
